Sim Chung looks the same as usual, and seems to hand out with her homeless friend (Hong Jin Kyung), while Heo Jun Jae eat with his mother Mo Yoo Ran (Na Young Hee). Life seems to go on “normally” for the two leads, both of them keep living but somehow viewers can see some kind of darkness on the two’s expression. The couple seems to be intimately thinking that something have changed, and viewers are speculating what might have happened.

Whether or not “Heo Jun Jae-Sim Chung” will have a happy ending, the dice have already been thrown. ◆ Past - Present life connection and changed fate 

Sim Chung (Jeon Ji Hyun) and Heo Jun Jae (Lee Min Ho) learnt that there was a link between their present life to the past, especially between Se Hwa (Jeon Ji Hyun) and Kim Dam Ryeong (Lee Min Ho). Meanwhile, it was known that the one who threw the spear to kill the mermaid Se Hwa is indeed Yang’s Son, which is Heo Chi Hyeon in the present (Lee Ji Hoon). As the viewers perhaps have already know, Dam Ryeong then later took the spear instead for Se Hwa, but Se Hwa deepen the spear to kill herself as well, both of them died at the end. The incident was somehow connected and repeated to the present Heo Jun Jae and Sim Chung. Heo Chi Hyun (Lee Jin Hoon) point his gun towards Heo Jun Jae due to his mother, Kang Seo Hee/Kang Ji Hyeon’s arrest (Hwang Shin Hye), since his mother was led to the arrest by Heo Jun Jae. When Heo Chi Hyeon wanted to pull the trigger, Sim Chung jumped to take the bulled. Heo Chi Hyeon later was known to take his own life to change his fate.

Their crisis seems not to end soon, and another crisis came out for “Heo Jun Jae-Sim Chung” couple. Although Sim Chung seems to gain consciousness and recover fast from the surgery, she still feel pain on her heart. Her heart hardens even when she tried to cover it from Heo Jun Jae. You said that it’s better to still remember how you love someone, even when it’s painful to live with the memory.”,confirming his love for Sim Chung. He prefer to live on with painful memories of Sim Chung and said “Because my love for you seems to be longer than my lifetime..chose, whether you wanted to erase it or not” and Sim Chung replied “I’ve made the choice” and kiss Heo Jun Jae.

In the last episode supposed to be broadcasted on the 25th of January, all of the answer will be revealed whether Heo Jun Jae and Sim Chung able to the walk the “Pink Pearl” road. It’s still ot possible to know what kind of choice that Sim Chung made before she kissed Heo Jun Jae with her sad eyes.
