Korean Actor Lee Min-ho won the Presidential Commendation at the 16th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards on October 23, 2025. The ceremony took place at the Haeoreum Theater of the National Theater of Korea in Seoul.

The Presidential Commendation is a significant government award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, recognizing contributions to Korean popular culture and arts. Lee Min Ho was specifically cited for his role in spreading Hallyu and his performance in projects such as the Apple TV+ series Pachinko.

In his acceptance speech, Lee Min Ho thanked his fans and highlighted the global growth of the Republic of Korea's brand. A heartfelt thank you to all MINOZ who have consistently supported him with warm hearts. This is Lee Min Ho's second national award, following the Prime Minister's Commendation he received in 2014.

Lee Min Ho | Is Returning In The Big Screen with the New Film "Assassin" October 16, 2025

As of October 16, 2025, Lee Min-ho has been confirmed to star in the film Assassin(s), an historical thriller about a real-life 1974 assassination attempt. He will be playing a rookie reporter who witnesses the event. Director Hur Jin-ho's latest film 'Assassins' has announced its star-studded cast, including Yoo Hae-jin, Park Hae-il, and Lee Min-ho, as filming gets underway.

Currently in production, “Assassins” is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated Korean thrillers, blending real historical events, cinematic realism and a stellar lineup of talent both in front of and behind the camera.

In this movie, Lee Min Ho takes on the role of a passionate rookie reporter in the social affairs department who witnesses a shocking incident, showcasing even deeper and more delicate acting than before.

Lee Min Ho | W Korea's "Love Your W' 20th Anniversary Charity Event in Seoul October 15, 2025

"LOVE YOUR W" is Korea's largest charity event, hosted by W Korea. The event was a charity gala for the 20th Anniversary of the Breast Cancer Awareness Campaign and supports screening and treatment costs for women and low-income families through participatory campaigns. The event took place on Wednesday, October 15th (8PM KST) at the Four Seasons Hotel Seoul. 

Many celebrities attended the annual charity event where their unique fashion choices became the main event. As one of the most talked-about appearances of the night, Lee Min Ho once again proved why he remains a top-tier visual in K-world. He participated in the photo event held to commemorate the campaign and was seen in media photos supporting the cause. Many other celebrities also attended this annual charity event.

Lee Min-ho's outfit consisted of a burgundy velvet suit, which included a jacket and matching trousers. The suit was paired with a white dress shirt and a dark, patterned tie with accessories, including a pocket square. and was designed by BOSS. He has been a global brand ambassador for the luxury menswear brand. His outfit was part of the brand's Fall/Winter 2025 collection and was chosen to embody the BOSS customer who values quality and sophisticated design. Lee Min-ho's look was described as exuding elegance and sophistication.
