Korean Actor Lee Min-ho won the Presidential Commendation at the 16th Korean Popular Culture and Arts Awards on October 23, 2025. The ceremony took place at the Haeoreum Theater of the National Theater of Korea in Seoul.
The Presidential Commendation is a significant government award from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, recognizing contributions to Korean popular culture and arts. Lee Min Ho was specifically cited for his role in spreading Hallyu and his performance in projects such as the Apple TV+ series Pachinko.
In his acceptance speech, Lee Min Ho thanked his fans and highlighted the global growth of the Republic of Korea's brand. A heartfelt thank you to all MINOZ who have consistently supported him with warm hearts. This is Lee Min Ho's second national award, following the Prime Minister's Commendation he received in 2014.
