'Gangnam 1970' Lee Minho, why he chose the movie in 10 years

Actor Lee Min Ho is the most well-known star recently. The script of the drama, which is the main character of 10 ~ 20s, has not gone through his hands and continues to be a box office with an astonishing lineup. The love call for him was not only a tube. He is not yet verified on the screen, but many filmmakers wanted him.

But he was not in a hurry. Kim Soo-hyun Kim Woo-bum Lee Jong-seok and other actresses also expressed their appreciation in Chungmuro. It was because of his stubbornness that he wanted to make movies from his late 20s.

Lee Minho finished his screening ceremony 10 years after his debut. At the beginning of the activity, "Kang Chul-jung" appeared as a short-lived, but this is the first time that the main character in charge. The movie 'Gangnam 1970' (Director Yu) is a male movie full of male fragrance. In the 1970s, he plotted the story of two men who were involved in a bloody battle for the right of development in the Gangnam area. I was curious about the casting news. It was the reason why he chose this movie, not a trendy piece of money that literally became money.

"It's been a long time since I was in my late twenties, but I have a lot of feelings about movies," he says. "There are a lot of heavy materials in the film genre, not acting to mature, At the age of 27, I met the bishop and waited for the "heirs." I was able to film at age 28 and not be able to show it to the audience until I was 29 years old. "

The reason why he chose 'Kangnam 1970' was the influence of the director Yu. The director who reevaluated Kwon Sang Woo Cho In Sung and others through his previous works has a high reputation as a director who maximizes the attractiveness of male actors.

"I have a lot of confidence in Yoo Ha-soo, so I think I was more attracted to him, because he makes me look like a male actor. I was convinced that good results would follow. "

In this work, he played the role of a big-handed man in the orphan who was transformed into a big hand to grasp the land development rights of Gangnam. It is at the center of violence, but it is a man moving with a hot love for his family. It is not a three-dimensional character compared to the villain Kim Rae Won. However, Lee Min - ho is sad and depressed about the youth that is falling in a dark age and raises the immersion of the viewer.

"It was the first and the most dramatic movie I did not try to overturn and portray the tone of the smoke, because the color of this work was so clear that it seemed to be able to shake the color of the film clearly if it was a bouncing character. I was trying to express my grandfather. I guess I tried not to do much thinking or analysis. "

Lee Minho said he tried to fix bad habits in the drama at the previous press preview. What was his feeling in the first film scene?

"This drama is going to be in a hurry, and there are a lot of situations that are different from what I had planned and thought about, so I feel like I'm making a habit that I do not want to be comfortable with myself, so this time I thoroughly mastered the script, I did not want to make it. When I read the scenario, I wanted to convey the emotions that I felt when acting. "

Throughout the interview he reminded me. It seemed to be more exciting and joyful that I could show the work I created rather than the tension to many people.

"I do not want to be overwhelmed by a lot of things, I'm going to do it if I'm willing to do it, I do not have to worry about it, why do not I have to worry about it? What if the audience does not see it? I think, but I am personally satisfied with the work and I do not want to worry more about myself because I have the most fearful thing that I am trapped in myself. But I think it is most important to check it out, I know the reality and I keep showing myself, so I think I can enjoy it now. "

Lee Min-ho said that it was the recent thing that he learned the pleasure of acting. As soon as I realized that, all the work was a gift to him.

"There was a moment when the new character itself was fresh, and I was enjoying it at that point, and I felt like I was acting as a substitute for the character, So, it's not over when I finished the work, but it reminds me of my memories, and I also have memories of 'Kangnam 1970.' I feel sorry that I want to do better, but I was really happy and memorable. I would be happy if I could only get an assessment that it now has the potential to play an actor's color, weight and role. "

Lee Min Ho | "Gangnam 1970" Movie January 21, 2015

Gangnam Blues (Korean: κ°•남 1970; lit. Gangnam 1970) is a 2015 South Korean action film written and directed by Yoo-Ha,  and starring Lee Min-ho and Kim rae-won. The film is set in the 1970s against the backdrop of the real estate development of Seoul's Gangnam district amidst socio-political turmoil and terrorism. The friendship of two childhood friends is tested as they find themselves entangled in the collusion and battles between political powers and criminal organizations.

In the 1970s, during the height of political corruption, Gangnam, the southern part of Seoul, is starting to transform into a developed area. Childhood friends, Jong-dae (Lee Min-ho) and Yong-ki (Kim Rae-won) struggle to get by, until their shanty homes are demolished by local thugs. Desperate for cash, they get involved in violent political clashes, and are separated during one of the skirmishes.

Three years later, Jong-dae lives as an adopted son of a former gang leader, Gil-soo (Jung Jin-young) and unknown to him, as a small-time gangster. Meanwhile, Yong-ki has risen as a made man inside Seoul's most powerful criminal organization, the Myeongdong-pa, under Yang Ki-taek (Jung Ho-bin). Jong-dae acquaints Min Seong-hee (Kim Ji-soo) and is entangled in real estate business through the tips Min Seong-hee gets from Park Seung-gu (Choi Jin-ho). Together, they enter into a bigger business of land-dealing. Jong-dae finally crosses paths with Yong-ki and they decide to co-operate and plan to eventually come into possession of what they desire; Jong-dae desires land while Yong-ki wants money. Min Seong-hee introduces Jong-dae to a disgraced politician, Seo Tae-gon (Yoo Seung-mok), who still has political controls and they agree to raise him up in the ladder of the political arena. They enter high-stake battles going on between various political parties over land in Gangnam, to acquire the land before its plot-value drives up, after being tipped on intel from the inside about the government's plan to include Gangnam as an extended part of the capital.

While the gangs fight over the rights to various plots and to maintain dominance in the power structure, Yong-ki betrays his people and eliminates opposition with Jong-dae. After falling under suspicion, Yong-ki kills Gil-soo to regain his gang's trust and keeps the truth from Jong-dae. Jong-dae finds out the truth on his own and keeps an eye on him. Meanwhile, Yong-ki's gang motivates him to overthrow Jong-dae when the mission is over and take over the entire gang and operation. After Seo Tae-gon's final mission, Yong-ki sets an ambush to kill Jong-dae, but Jong-dae, who is one step ahead, eliminates Yong-ki's gang members and spares Yong-ki after telling him to disappear.

Seo Tae-gon, to turn a new leaf in his career, recruits two new goons as his henchmen and assigns them to assassinate both Jong-dae and Yong-ki and they do so, while Seo Tae-gon announces his nomination for election. The ruling government then declares its intent to adjoin Gangnam to its capital. After years, an aged Seo Tae-gon addresses the developed city of Gangnam about his commitment to the city.
